These are web pages that I use a lot when I’m studying my Bible and I want them to have the credit because they are such a big help to me. I’ll post more as I find other great websites.
This is probably one of the most useful websites I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. They have so many different versions of the Bible, many commentaries, links to the concordances…so many features I can’t even name them all. Wonderful website!
This website is great for memorizing scripture. It’s addictive and fun too!
This is the website I use to make the Bible verse images. While I don’t much care for the website itself (lots of offensive images and captions), it is very easy to use to make Christian-themed memes. I would NOT let my child visit this website!
This website I would call a “cheat” site. It’s like a huge collection of cliff notes and other research but…having said that…I think the Bible portion is really fun. Their overviews and commentaries are done in humorous ways but are very easy to understand and I haven’t yet found one that I would totally disagree with!
This is another awesome and helpful Bible study website. I love the keyword lookup. If you’ve ever been thinking of a Bible verse but couldn’t remember where it was in the Bible, this website is for you! They also have a lot of study tools for sale here.
This website contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published between 1901-1906. Fabulous resource!
This is another Bible Study site that offers a great layout for reading in parallel versions. Another helpful resource!
All things history! This website is great for being able to look up historical figures and such. Wonderful for history buffs or anyone wanting to fill in the blanks.
This is a great website that my sister just referred to me. She ran across it when researching in Exodus and I have to say, the article about Who Hardened Pharaoh’s Heart is wonderful! I will definitely be using this website again.
This is a web site that I’ve just started exploring and it’s been a great help to me so far.
If you are a visually creative person (more artistic than me!), this blog is my sister’s and you’ll find so many images to spark your own creative bible study or journal.
This is my church’s web site. I’ve linked to this page specifically for those wanting to listen to the worship team and the sermons. My blog of bible study notes is not reviewed or approved by the church I attend so if I get something totally wrong…don’t blame them 🙂
Many commentaries I find online are pretty old or written in such a way that is completely over my head. David Guzik’s commentary is one I like, as you can see from how often I put his name on posts.
I’ve been following Jono’s blog for some time now and his notes are so in-depth and thorough, he puts my own notes to shame! Seriously, though, if you want to follow a bible study rich in history and customs…follow this blog!
