Ezekiel 18:26-28

It doesn’t seem quite fair does it?  You can live the majority of your life faithful to God and then mess up eternity by making the choice to turn away from God.

That’s the unforgivable sin…to experience God’s grace and mercy and then make the choice to refuse Him.

You can’t lose your salvation like misplaced keys or socks in the dryer.  You have to actively  and willfully choose to reject God.  That doesn’t happen by accident.
When righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things, they will die for it. Yes, they will die because of their sinful deeds. And if wicked people turn from their wickedness, obey the law, and do what is just and right, they will save their lives. They will live because they thought it over and decided to turn from their sins. Such people will not die.
