I like this passage because it shows planning and logical action. The apostles didn’t just walk around mumbling on street corners about the Kingdom of Heaven….they had a plan.
It says they destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. I like problem solving. I like seeing a goal, recognizing the barriers, and then knocking them down one by one. I like examining all the excuses as to why something can’t be done and then countering each one. That can drive people nuts (just saying).
Look at the people you know who have not come to Christ … what reasons and excuses do they give? Recognize the false arguments and proud obstacles and focus on knocking those out.
We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
