Matthew 6:26-27

We can debate the merits of hard work vs laziness another time.  This passage isn’t promoting a lack of preparation.  It is addressing the fact that as humans we tend to stress out and worry over everything.

It’s a reminder to lean on the One who loves us, who created us.  It’s a call to trust and exercise a little faith in this world.

It’s  a reminder of just how much God loves us.
Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
Matthew 6:26‭-‬27 NLT
